Well done to everyone who competed on the first weekend back in January 2026. A very good start to the tournament season with lots of positives and medals to boot.
On Saturday 3rd January, Toby and Poppy (both Canterbury Kings), played in the U17 Swindon Bronze tournament. Moving up an age group can be challenging, but ultimately a good experience with some very close games. Toby won his box in the singles beating the seed en-route to reach the last 16 but just lost 21-18. Poppy had some close singles games with 2 going to 22-20. Nail biting stuff! Bella (Kings Juniors) won a silver in the U16 girls singles at the Kent Futures. She was also selected to represent Kent (her 1st cap) the following day in the U17's against Middlesex. A fantastic achievement!
Isobel (Kings Juniors) won gold in the U14 girls singles and doubles with her partner, Kaitlyn (Canterbury Juniors), who also won bronze in the U14 girls singles.
Tobias (Canterbury Juniors) won gold in the U14 boys doubles and reached the quarter finals in the singles. Also a shout out to Alex who won quite a few games too! Well done boys!
Well done to Katie, (a former FBA member) who plays for Herne Bay, she won gold in the U18 girls singles.
Congratulations to all involved. We are all super proud and look forward to the coming year.
